Q: Does the RealChat server ever get rebooted?

Yes. All RealChat rooms and vServers are rebooted automatically at 3:59 A.M. EST every morning. Any changes made to vServers will be made official when the server reboots at 3:59 A.M. Not only does the reboot make changes official, but it also prevents memory leaks from occurring. Unfortunately, all chat users are temporarily removed from the chat during reboot. Reboots normally take only a few seconds.

Note: Anytime the main web server must be rebooted for any reason (whether it be for maintenance, a crash, etc), RealChat is also rebooted. We apologize for these inconveniences.
